Active Travel: Brighton

Post in collaboration with Original Cottages There aren’t many cities cooler than Brighton. It’s full of quirky shops, great places to eat, a stunning sea front, and a wonderful atmosphere. It is also boasts one of the biggest marathons in the UK. If you’re looking for a weekend away, combined with activity, you could do a lot worse than to consider Brighton. I hadn’t been for a while, but when I learned that my political party conference was to be held in Brighton last September, my excitement levels started to build rapidly. Down time with books

It’s been quiet around here; despite my ankle injury which is still preventing me from running, I have been insanely busy. Luckily Thursday will be the final frantic day in a frantic 6 weeks. I plan to spend Friday sleeping. At the moment, I don’t want to say too much about what I have been doing, but needless to say it’s been a manic few weeks. I’m not sleeping enough. I’m not eating properly. I am so exhausted come the evenings, my brain has turned to mush. Last week my husband asked me a question… View Post

London Marathon Ballot Rejection Truth

Updated 30th October 2018 Runners worldwide know run what happens each year in May. The London Marathon ballot opens, we all throw our names into a hat and we wait. And wait. And wait. At the end of September / early October, some of us will be rewarded for our patience with a place into the Holy Grail of marathons. Most of us will be left being bitter on social media, or pretending that we didn’t want to do it anyway. For those of you who are interested in stats, Dan put a post together… View Post
