Veganuary and the rise of plant based …

Post in collaboration with Scitec Nutrition It seems you can’t look at any media outlet at the moment without finding an article about vegans and plant-based diets. However, with record numbers of people completing Veganuary this year (myself included) and shops increasing their vegan range to cater for the “year of the vegan”, it perhaps isn’t surprising that it’s currently dominating the media (at least, when they aren’t covering Brexit). When I announced that I was taking part in Veganuary, a few friends gave me incredulous looks. “You?” “But you love cheese!” “You’ve eaten mealworms!”… View Post

Why I’m taking part in Veganuary

MISFIT Vapor Smartwatch Review

I like a gadget. Whilst I am only too aware of my dependency on tech, often to my detriment, I still can’t resist a gadget. I love the fact that it seems there is a piece of tech to do everything now. Except bread makers. I really like kneading dough, but I digress. I was recently sent a MISFIT Vapor Smartwatch for review. I had previously tested out the MISFIT Flash and hated it. It looked like a prison tag and didn’t work, so I never considered MISFIT products again. However, I was interested in… View Post

5 Ways to improve your swimming technique

Post in collaboration with On Buy At the moment, I am training for Swimathon. I make no secret of the fact that I am a poor swimmer and hopefully these tips will help my technique!     1. Position yourself Your body position should be perfected if you want to get the correct swimming technique. This means ensuring you are parallel to the floor, which is especially important when it comes to your legs. Leave them too low and it could affect your speed. Keep them straight and relaxed at the ankles. If your head… View Post
