Active Travel: Isle of Wight

I love going on active trips away. I’ve visited Jersey and Guernsey over the past couple of years, but for an active trip even closer to home, it’s worth checking out the Isle Of Wight as a destination. Thanks to Visit Isle of Wight, I had the opportunity to visit for the Isle of Wight Festival of Running.     Getting there Travel to the Isle of Wight is straightforward. You will want a car to get around if you want to visit different parts of the island, and ferries depart from Portsmouth and Southampton.… View Post

Top Tip For Travelling: Travel Insurance

Okay, so I may not be a travel blogger, although I do have an “active travel” tab above, but following the events of the past week, I felt this was an important post to write about the importance of travel insurance. Medina IOW parkrun on tour report

I’m back from a fantastic weekend in the Isle of Wight, thanks to Visit IOW and the Isle of Wight Festival of Running.     My friend Jo and I have been working our way around the little islands, checking off parkruns in the name of tourism. Jo and I lucked out and got to experience the alternative location starting… View Post

Isle of Wight Festival of Running

For those looking for shorter distances, 5k and 10k options… View Post

Active Travel: #SeeingSwitzerland & Giveaway

Post in collaboration with Inntravel I’ve been lucky this year as I’ve had the opportunity to go on a couple of fun trips. I also have a couple more active breaks coming up in June which I am really excited about. However, I’ve never been on a walking holiday. I talked about walking the North Downs Way once and another time, I rather optimistically planned to walk to Cornwall from London with a friend. It was going to take several weeks, but then it never happened. If, like me, you fancy taking on a walking… View Post
